Limpopo’s shortest celebrity Buti Majulie, popularly known as Yena Aya Kwini, has allegedly paid R30 000 lobola for a girl he met two(2) weeks ago. According to his close friends, Majulie met the girl in Polokwane and asked for her number on the spot.
“I drove him to Mall of the North for shopping because he is tired of wearing the red t-shirt everyday. The yellow bone lady saw him and asked to take pictures with him because she wanted to show her friends she was with a celebrity” said Majulie’s friend on condition of anonymity.
“After taking the pictures Buti Majulie asked for the lady’s number. I thought it was one of those small jokes that he normally makes with his female fans. On our drive home he told me he wanted to marry the girl. I laughed because I didn’t expect him to fall in love that quick,” he added.
Another source allege that Majulie told his family about the lady but they didn’t approve because he didn’t know the lady that well. They advised him to look for a girl from his village but he refused. He sent his friends to pay a R30 000 lobola to the Polokwane based lady.
Buti Majulie shot to fame last month when a video of his saying “Yena Aya Kwini” went viral on almost all social media networks in South Africa. He has since become a hit with events promoters who want him to make appearances at their events. He reportedly charges between R5000 and R10 000 to make an appearance.
Attempts to get a comment from Majulie and his management didn’t yield any results.
